Support

The Great Lakes Boat Building School is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.  Its early growth and success is a direct reflection of the many generous contributions made since it was incorporated in 2005.  The school largely depends on the support of dedicated individuals, foundations, and businesses to achieve its mission of providing a superior professional education in wooden boat building and restoration skills.

Tuition revenue contributes to the operational and programming costs of running the school but, like most non-profits, falls well short of meeting annual requirements.  The critical need for additional funding for scholarships, curriculum development, marketing, recruitment, equipment and materials, operational expenses, and facility debt retirement is ever present.
